NSW Registration criteria For Electrical Engineer
NSW registration helps
an electrical engineer to be well-recognized by employers and business
organizations. Without registration, the engineer will not be given the respect
and value they deserve.
Furthermore, a non-registered electrical engineer is always devoid
of growth opportunities that the registered electrical engineers can take
easily. Therefore, you must be registered as a professional electrical engineer
by Engineers Australia.
Now, let’s move further to know the NSW registration
requirements for an electrical engineer. Here, we will tell you about the
minimum knowledge and skills necessary for registration as an electrical
engineer and other things like that.
We have provided two lists here that show the minimum skills and
knowledge required for registration as an electrical engineer. There are two lists:
one is for knowledge criteria and the other one is for skills criteria.
Your application must be able to fulfill all the criteria given in
the lists. Let’s take an example for a better understanding: if there are 3
knowledge criteria and 4 skills criteria for the registration as an electrical
engineer, your application is required to meet all the 7 criteria.
Whereas, in case of applying for more than one class of
registration, your application has to fulfill all the criteria for each class
you are applying.
You will be required to attach documentation to your application
having your responses to the knowledge and skills criteria. The responses given
by you must have:
1. your
understanding of the criteria
2. how to
meet the criteria
3. the
depth and breadth of you’re the skills and knowledge you have by means of
examples
Having given you a clear idea of the registration, we are now about
to tell you the criteria for skills and knowledge one by one.
As an
electrical engineer, you are required to satisfy all the knowledge criteria
given below. You must have a clear understanding and knowledge of the
following:
1.
The design, planning and construction needs
related to this registration class and the techniques utilized for
construction.
2. The
Building Code of Australia (Volumes 1 and 2), which includes documents adopted
by reference in the Building Code of Australia, to the extent they are related
to this registration class.
3. Inspection
needs related to this registration class.
